Consultations at Light Wave Clinic are relaxed and friendly but most importantly you can be sure you're in expert hands! When you first arrive we'll assess your tattoo and ask you questions including how long you've had it and what you'd like to achieve from your treatments. Some of our clients are considering complete removal whilst others are planning to 'fade' their tattoo so it can be easily covered by a new one.
Once we've discussed your tattoo and given you a price quote for your treatments, you will be offered the opportunity of having a free 'patch test'. A patch test is a very quick laser treatment (typically only lasting for two seconds) on your tattoo to test your body's reaction to the laser. This is to satisfy us that it is safe to offer you full treatments, once you've had a test patch we will talk you through the aftercare requirements.

You'll need to wait at least five days before you return to begin your treatments.
On the day of your first treatment, we'll check your suitability by assessing your body's response to your test patch as well as asking you questions about how the area felt afterwards.
